Meet the Heart-ist
Amandalynn is a painter, sculptor, and digital artist rooted in the quiet light of Boise, Idaho. For over 15 years, she has lived by the philosophy that life itself is art. Her work explores the tender intersections of home, comfort, dance, light, portraiture, and community — searching always for the soul-sparks beneath the surface. “When others discover I’m an artist,” Amandalynn says, “they often respond by denouncing their own capacity for creativity. Converting one thing into another is the very nature of art — paint into picture, clay into sculpture, oxygen into carbon dioxide… that last one is just breathing. Ostensibly, all who draw breath are inherently creative.”
It is this fierce belief in human creativity that feeds her love of people, and by extension, her art. Mostly self-taught, with formative training at the College of Western Idaho, Amandalynn’s journey has been shaped by mentors and the roots of her spiritual community. Her work has been traveled across the United States and internationally in Australia and France. She has completed numerous commissioned works in painting, sculpture, and installation — often returning to her first (artisanal) love: portraiture. Her goal is always to capture more than a likeness, but the shimmer of personality and presence. Amandalynn’s paintings often carry whispers of Italian Renaissance devotion, intertwined with the airy touch of Impressionism. She draws on a rich tapestry of experiences — from loving philosophy, to serving in the US Army, to teaching high school art and volunteering in galleries— weaving each thread into artworks that evoke wonder, warmth, and belonging. Wherever her work travels, it carries a quiet invitation: to pause, to feel, and to remember where you belong.
