Coverage for settlement, drainage within 10 feet of your home, and grading issues. Landscaping survival and erosion beyond 10 feet are homeowner responsibilities.
Foundation & Concrete
Covers cracks exceeding size tolerances in foundations, garage slabs, steps, and driveways. Routine cosmetic variations like minor cracking are normal.
Doors & Windows
Includes repairs for warping, sticking, or operational issues in doors and windows. Condensation, broken glass, and screens typically fall outside warranty unless noted at move-in.
Thermal & Moisture Protection
Includes coverage for leaks, insulation gaps, and issues with crawl space moisture or attic ventilation when caused by installation. Routine caulking is a homeowner maintenance item.
Plumbing, Electrical & HVAC
Covers defects in installed systems, including leaks, electrical wiring issues, and HVAC performance. Routine maintenance and misuse are homeowner responsibilities.
Interior Finishes & Surfaces
Includes repairs for flooring gaps outside normal tolerances and cabinet adjustments. Drywall cracks, nail pops, cosmetic wear, paint touch-ups, and minor variations are considered normal homeowner maintenance and are not included in coverage.
Fireplaces & Appliances
Fireplaces are covered by the manufacturer's warranty. Appliances are also covered by manufacturer warranties—contact info can be found in your CBH Warranty Manual.
