Think of your New Home Orientation as the owner’s manual for your home – delivered in person, by the expert who built it. Before closing day, you and your construction manager walk the entire home together so you know how everything works before you ever move a box in.

It’s one-on-one, it’s hands-on, and it’s all about setting you up for success as a homeowner.

What’s Covered at Your New Home Orientation?

Your NHO covers the good stuff:

• How to use everything in your home – systems, features, and settings
• How to register your home and appliances under warranty – so your coverage is active from day one
• Homeowner maintenance tips and tricks – the simple habits that keep your home in top shape
• One-on-one time with your construction manager – ask anything about caring for your new home

Speaking of maintenance, the National Association of Home Builders and ENERGY STAR both offer great resources on seasonal home care and keeping your systems running efficiently. 

When Do You Schedule Your New Home Orientation?

Prior to closing, you’ll receive an email with a link to schedule your NHO. It’s typically close to your closing date – so by the time you walk out, you’re ready to move in with confidence. It’s the perfect setup for closing day, when you sign your documents and get your keys.
