Celebrating Women Who Lead at CBH Homes

Here at CBH Homes, we do more than just build homes—we build communities. With 57 new home communities in 12 different cities in the Treasure Valley, we build the dream of homeownership. The dream of a career. The dream of loving where you live. At CBH Homes, we’re built different.

Who we are.

Corey Barton, the owner and founder of CBH Homes, believes in hiring women no matter the industry norm. The women of CBH have been an integral part helping to build the #1 homebuilder in Idaho.  When you look at the CBH website and social media, it’s obvious to see the amount of women that are represented and empowered by CBH Homes. 

CBH Homes is proud to be 70% women and has held on to that percentage since we started tracking that number in 2018. That number becomes even more impressive when looking at our leadership team. Of our senior leadership team, 9 of our 14 Departments/Teams are led by women, that’s 65%. The long list of female leaders is impressive and CBH Homes Vice President, Ronda Conger, is at the top of the list leading the CBH Troops daily.  

CBH takes an active approach in strengthening the company’s woman workforce and ensuring they have every avenue to grow and be promoted.

We build teams.

For the past 30+ years, CBH Homes has been empowering women. Made up of 70% women, 9 of our 14 teams are led by women. We have gone against the norm, defying industry standards and changing the face of homebuilding. At CBH, we are proud to actively equip and elevate women toward success.

 

 

We build careers.

In an industry typically dominated by men, our commitment to women leaders is demonstrated by the length of employment of our top female leaders, averaging 18 years at CBH.

 

We build communities.

Not only does CBH promote women in the industry, but we’re also sponsors of several organizations that support and empower women, like the Faces of Hope Foundation and the Women and Children’s Alliance. This past summer, CBH also held the first ever CBH Homes The House That She Built event with the Girl Scouts of Silver Sage. 250 Girl Scouts gathered at a CBH community where they learned about the construction process. We want to invite women and girls to consider the construction industry as a viable and amazing place for women to be a part of.

 

 

 

CBH is a proud supporter of acknowledging its employees and loves to nominate its members for awards. Our most significant accomplishment is Vice President Ronda Conger being named 2021 National Association of Home Builders Woman of the Year and the Idaho Business Review’s 2018 Woman of the Year. The National Association of Home Builders is a nationwide award given to one woman each year. It’s a huge accomplishment and we’re so proud of Ronda’s success in home building. Along with that, she’s been named the Top 10 Pioneering Women Leaders in Business 2023, the Most Influential Women Leaders to Watch in 2023, and the Top 20 Unstoppable Women Entrepreneurs To Look Out For in 2023.  

 

 

Ronda isn’t the only one at CBH who has won awards – Tara Kristensen was the recipient of the 2022 Pacific Northwest Admin Awards – Leadership Award. Our Own Sales Specialist, Macy Campbell, was elected as the First Vice President of the Women’s Council of Realtors Boise Metro. We’ve nominated and had 3 women awarded the Professional Builder’s 40 under 40 award. CBH is a member of the NAHB Professional Women in Building and supports our local Women’s Council of Realtor chapters. We’re diligent in nominating the women of CBH for awards and designations.
