Light the Night for LLS with CBH Homes

This month, our CBH Homes team participated in one of the most impactful events – Light the Night for LLS.

We are taking steps to end cancer. WE LIGHT THE NIGHT.

Every year, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) holds a fundraiser walk in downtown Boise to help raise money and awareness for Cancer research. With our help, and all those who came out to support this cause, we get to help fund their research to fight the end of cancer.

What is Light the Night?

At Light The Night, it is their aim to bring light to the darkness of cancer through research and cures. Light The Night is a series of fundraising campaigns. The campaigns benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) funding of research to find blood cancer cures. They bring hope instead of despair by working to ensure access to treatments for all blood cancer patients. Along with this, they help bring communities together to celebrate those who are fighting the disease and to honor those we have lost.

Their goal is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.

Why LLS?

It is the largest funder of cutting-edge research to advance cures. LLS is at the forefront of the fight to cure cancer. Compared to other blood cancer nonprofits, LLS is the largest funder of cutting-edge research to advance cures. They have invested nearly $1.3 billion in research. They are leaders in advancing breakthroughs in immunotherapy, genomics and personalized medicine. This research saves lives. These revolutionary new treatments originally discovered through blood cancer research are now being tested in clinical trials for other cancers.

Light the Night – Boise

Light the Night in Boise was just 1 in the 140 walks across North America. These efforts culminate in inspirational, memorable evening experiences filled with music, fireworks and empowering ceremonies honoring survivors and remembering those we have lost. We invited our CBH company and their families to join us in walking and fundraising this year. We had a great turnout and with all of our efforts combined, our team raised a total of $18,428. Overall, Light the Night in Boise raised $219,396 in total.

CBH Homes contributes to LLS all year long and we will never be done fighting the end to cancer. If you would like to donate to Light the Night and LLS you can head to our fundraising page HERE.
