Julie Pegan is a Boise-based illustrator and designer known for blending traditional and digital artistry to tell bold visual stories. A graduate of Boise State University with a BFA in Illustration & Graphic Design, Julie’s passion lies in creating work that connects with the local community.

About the Heart: FAIRever Yours

Julie Pegan’s sculpture captures the joy and nostalgia of the Western Idaho Fairgrounds:

• One side features bold, colorful illustrations of fair classics—corn dogs, Ferris wheels, and cotton candy—greeting guests with a cheerful “So Glad You’re Here.”
• The other side portrays scenes of community, connection, and celebration, with playful landscapes reflecting the fairgrounds’ role as a local gathering place.
• A nod to the future, Julie’s design hints at exciting developments and improvements coming to Expo Idaho.
