Artist Spotlight: April McIntyre of Star, Idaho
Introducing April McIntyre, a talented local artist and long-time Star resident, as the creative force behind The Heart of Star.
April discovered her passion for painting while earning her degree at UC San Diego. As a mother of three and a seasoned participant in Star’s Art by the River festival, she has contributed murals, portraits, and even artwork featured on a local traffic box!
Her artistic style blends photorealism and impressionism, specializing in:
- Equestrian art
- Nature & landscapes
- Pet portraits
- Children’s art
Working primarily in oils on canvas, April aims to evoke emotion and connection in every piece she creates.
